Just a quick note to let you know that our entire group of 18 loved every minute of our stay at Palacio Tropical. This was our 5th year traveling together and our absolute best. We've done cruises and all inclusives but this one tops them all! The accommodations, food, outings, pool, beach and Jon and Raquel are the best! We couldn't have had a better vacation and I'm not sure how we'll ever top this one! Thanks for sharing your magnificent villa and we hope to return....

Just wanted to send you an email to let you know that we TRULY and THOROUGHLY enjoyed ourselves. The Palacio is a fabulous place and the care that we received from Jon and Raquel and the staff was first rate!! I don't think we will ever have a vacation anywhere else that will compare to what we had at the Palacio. You have the greatest staff!!! I am a person that notices everything from cleanliness to upkeep and what I saw I would like to have in my own home - Staff that cares and takes pride in what they do.

Our trip was truly memorable and we would love to return some day.

We just got back from the most wonderful vacation ever! Jon and Raquel were the best hosts and took care of all of our "traumas." They found our lostluggage not only once, but twice! So here you go - my critique of the Palacio Tropical experience. Let me preface by explaining that every year I plan and pay for a summer vacation for a diverse group of family and friends. I try to choose different and new locations and experiences. This group is VERY well traveled on their own as well. This year there were 13 of us - eight adults and five teenagers. We have done the staffed villa vacation as well as non-staffed where we did all our own cooking and cleaning.

Costa Rica was a beautiful country with lovely people. I would definitely go back. Everyone felt that way.

Palacio Tropical was a perfect house for us. Everyone felt they had privacy when needed and also great "group" areas where we could hang out together. Being right on the beach was a huge plus and it was a beautiful beach. The house was well equipped and was everything we could hope for. By the way, there is free international calling at the villa. There is a Vonage phone that is not listed on the website and that was a big thing for us.

They did a great job. I liked how the staff did laundry every day so we wouldn't have muddy clothes and there were always clean towels. Very well done. And Raquel can really cook. About the worst I could say is we couldn't find any good wine in Mal Pais.

BTW we surfed 5 days over there -- loved it. I am still sore and bruised.

This house is exceptionally beautiful. The staff the ocean, the excursions, you couldn't ask for anything better - Raquel, John, Lody, Gretel & Tiko were helpful, kind and always had a smile on their face.

Raquel's food was some of the best we have ever tasted, even in restaurants. What a beautiful couple John & Raquel are and we wish them all the best in their life and wish them a life of happiness and love. I hope you get your dream house.

We will definitively be back next year. We had such a great time! You have to experience this, to believe this!

The Coach family can't thank enough Raquel & John for all their smiles, hardwork and patience. We had a wonderful time and hope to be back next year - keeping in mind the non-alcoholic rules during Easter week (although a tip & wink will get an imperial in Montezuma!)

What a fabulous vacation for me and my family and extended family. We loved the views, food, pool, horsebacking riding, zip lining, fishing, and just being in the beautiful place where peace prevails. Rachael and John are the greatest and made our week one we will always think of with a smile.

On December 22/08, 4 families set on a vacation to the Palacio Tropical. 8 adults and 10 kids who have travelled together before but never in one big home. The Palacio did not disapoint in any way. It's warm atmosphere, spacious living area, beautiful grounds and surroundings makes it an absolute paradise. John and Raquel's hospitality is the cherry on top of the Sunday. The food and deserts are fresh and delicious. Thank you Raqvel & John, I would recomend this.

We came to came to Palacio Tropical for our family vacation. We had a total of 9 of us. Sara, Katie, Ed, Tony, Zach, Ashley, Alice, Dave and Maggie. We went zip lining on Monday. It was a blast and a must for any visitors. Ashley was rescued when she got stuck in the middle of the line hanging! Jungle Man rescued her! On Wednesday the men went fishing. They caught enough fish for dinner! On Friday we went for a 4 wheeler excursion all over the area. It was quite long but nice. Papa Roche took care of Alice for six hours one day in the house by himself. The other days we lounged y the pool and enjoyed the house. The entire staff took such good care of us. Alice especially liked the girls Rachel, Lady Cindy and Gretle, she also watched Tico from the up stairs porch every morning! The entire vacation was just lovely. We will recommend it to our friends!

Fabulous stay! Everything to notch from staff to design of house and everything in it! Beautiful furnishings, exquisite towels & bed linens and perfect accessaries thru out. Understated elegance abounds. Special thanks to Raquel whose tireless efforts towards hospitality and cuisine are reflected in every aspect of the house.

Without a dout "Palacio Tropical" is a peice of heaven. The confort, beauty, and atmosphere are just wonderful:

A lot of this would not be possile without John, Raquel and staff. My wish has been their command.

It is our first trip to Costa Rico and it's hard to belive what "Palacio Tropical" can and does offer.

Nineteen guest - 14 Adults and 5 babies and children - spent this week in paradise. Jon, Raquel, Claudia, Patricia, Tico, and staff could not have been more accommodating, anticipating our every need. Costa Rica is an awesome country and Palacio Tropical was heavenly! Our 40th anniversary celebration will never be forgotten. Thank you Frank for enticing us to experience this setting!

Placio Tropical - This place is truly an amazing location for a vacation. John, Raquel and all the staff made this trip execptional! The house is something out of the movies, the views stunning, and activities; endless. All 16 of us have eperienced the absolute best of Costa Rica. We had such an exceptional, wonderful time here at Tropical Palacio in Cost Rica. We enjoyed all the great excursions under Jon's terrific guidance. The food and the care by the staff was amazing!
