After a short taxi ride from San Jose to the port of Puntarenas, the
    ferry will carry you across the beautiful Gulf of Nicoya, where a
    member of our Palacio Staff will greet you in passenger van. The
    ferry ride takes only an hour and a half, but with the added car
    travel time on both sides of the trip, this route to Palacio
    Tropical will take about five to eight hours. Still, if you have the
    time, and want to see Costa Rica from every beautiful vantage point,
    we highly recommend it!
